This full house refurb, carried out by 4 You Residential, transformed a derelict house in Brixton into a bright new home. Various structures which had been added over the years were removed from the rear of the house to make room for a new single storey kitchen extension. Natural light floods into the new kitchen from a pitched skylight running the length of the side infill, whilst sliding doors form an opening corner to the rear. The glazing connects inside and outside spaces, and gives views to the garden through from the central spaces of the original house. All fixtures and fittings were replaced as part of the works, with the client’s beautiful furniture really completing the home. The spacious attic was also converted to form a light, airy spare room.
