This full renovation and refurbishment of an existing Colt House in Suffolk includes new larch-clad single storey extensions to replace a previous extension and conservatory, a new staircase, new insulation, and replacement windows & doors. Set in mature gardens and with woodland to the south, the house benefits from beautiful views but was in need of modernisation. Previously uninsulated walls have been upgraded with new insulation and new larch cladding, and UPVC windows have been replaced with new double glazed Velfac windows supplied by okoHaus. Internally, all finishes have been refurbished including restoration of the original parquet floor, and the previously dark stairwell has been replaced with a bespoke staircase and landing. TAS designed a new ‘cabin’ style extension to provide a grown-up snug area, linked to the original house by a replacement larch-clad extension. New windows and sliding glazed doors frame views out to the amazing garden and countryside beyond.
