TAS has joined the Suffolk Design Collective
By Lizzie
This year we’re excited to have joined the Suffolk Design Collective. This community, orchestrated by local authorities, is committed to shaping better places across Suffolk and brings together a whole host of professionals.
The group follows on from the success of the Suffolk Design Festival in 2025. Christophe and Lizzie went to several talks on subjects as varied as creating healthy streets and preserving local identity.
To make sure the collective can make a difference, it has been established as a partnership between local authorities, driven by the public sector. It will give local officers consistency in resources and the ability to gain experience in placemaking across the county.
The TAS team is particularly looking forward to the chance to collaborate with others across the industry. Creating amazing spaces takes the work of many different people, who can collectively push high aspirations and standards.
The collective is working on creating a Suffolk Design Management Process, an agreed approach across Suffolk authorities to guide development. The aim is to ensure design is discussed early in the process with clear expectations set.
If you’re interested in getting involved, take a look at the Suffolk Design Collective website. You’ll find resources and guidance as well as information about events and tours. The team is currently planning an event for February.
